Day one of training in Preston completed and i have never felt so tired. Having finished the long journey from Melbourne to Preston yesterday at around 4pm i am still so physically and mentally drained from the journey.

I was definetly struggling to sleep last night, even though i was so impressed with how i managed to stay awake so late last night not going to bed until after 9pm. I woke up at 3am and really struggled to go back to sleep, after i woke up i was up for a good few hours before i managed to get asleep again for about another two hours before not being able to sleep again. I am very much looking forward to sleeping tonight, hopefully i will be able to improve on last night!!

I always find the second session the hardest session when having jetlag. The first session you can really fight your way through and your more awake in the morning making it much easier.

The different types of emotions you experience before going to this sort of tournament is intense, sometimes you get so nervous that you worry about going and how your performance will be but then at the same time your so excited about going that you just can't wait to be there. It can really effect your performance and is sometimes the difference between what makes a player good and what makes a player great, the ability to handle such intense pressure.

At the moment however i'm extremely excited about heading the village in a few days and i can't wait!
